Answers to the usual questions about ProsNCons.
Invites
How do I invite someone?
Open a decision you created and tap Invite. Each invite link works for exactly one person and expires after 7 days, so send a fresh link to each friend.
Tapping an invite link opened Safari instead of the app.
Copy the link, open ProsNCons, tap your avatar, and paste it under Got an invite link?
The link says it's already used or expired.
Ask the decision's creator for a new one.
Who can change what
What can everyone in a decision do?
Anyone in a decision can add, edit, move or delete pros and cons. Changes show up for everyone within a few seconds.
What can only the creator do?
The creator can change the title, notes and color, invite people, remove people, and delete the decision. Everyone else can leave it whenever they like.
Your identity
Do I need an account?
No. The first time you open ProsNCons, it gives you a random identity, like "Bubbly Otter 🦦". There's no sign-up, email or password.
Can I change my name or animal?
Tap your avatar on the Decisions screen and choose Shuffle for a new name, animal and color.
How do I get my identity on a new iPhone or iPad?
You don't need to do anything. Your identity is stored in iCloud Keychain, so it shows up on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account, and it survives deleting and reinstalling the app.
Notifications
When does the app ask about notifications?
Never at launch. It asks after you send your first invite or join a decision. If you say yes, you get a short summary when someone joins or changes a decision you're in, like "🦊 Zippy Fox added 2 pros", at most once every few minutes per decision. You're never notified about your own changes.
How do I turn them on or off?
In the iPhone Settings app, go to Apps › ProsNCons › Notifications.
Your data
How do I delete my data?
Tap your avatar, then Delete my data. This removes your identity and every decision you created, for everyone in them. The privacy policy has the details.
Can I leave a decision without deleting everything?
Yes. Leave it from the decision itself. The pros and cons you added there stay.
